The NeverEnding Story

A great movie from my childhood that I remember watching all the time is "The NeverEnding Story". I know I said this movie is from my childhood but it was actually released in 1984, eleven years before I was born. Regardless I grew up watching this movie. This movie revolves around a young boy named Sebastian. We find Sebastian a year after his mother's death. He is having trouble adjusting to his mother's absence and dealing with bullies at school. To escape the problems of the real world Sebastian looks to books. When he picks up the book "The NeverEnding Story" his life will never be the same. This movie takes you on a thrilling adventure to a fantasy world battling a evil force that threatens its very existence. Along the journey we find the importance of believing in yourself, dreaming, and imagination. I love this movie and I believe you will too. Enjoy!

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Honestly "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is in my top 5 favorite movies I've ever seen. This movie follows a boy named Charlie, played by Logan Lerman. Charlie is dealing with the stress of beginning high school and a rough past. A group of seniors, played by Emma Watson, Erza Miller, and many more, take Charlie under their wings and guide him through life. The movie deals with friendship, self-discovery, pain, dealing with you past and hoping for the future, love and happiness. This movie is very moving and can be very emotional for some. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is based off the book of the same title, written by Stephen Chbosky. I know this is a movie blog but along with recommending everyone to see this movie, I also recommend everyone to read the book as well. Both the movie and the book are life changing. Enjoy

21 Jump Street

One of the funniest comedies of this generation is none other than 21 Jump Street, starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. I feel as if everyone has seen this movie but if you haven't let me give you a brief overview. In this movie Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are undercover cops in high school. Their mission is to find the dealer of a new synthetic drug that caused the death of one student already. Throughout the movie Channing Tatum's and Jonah Hill's characters struggle with finding themselves, keeping their friendship, and staying focused on the case. This movie is about friendship, self-identity, and is a down right hilarious comedy. This is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen and if you love comedies with semi-crude humor this is the movie for you

Free Willy

My most beloved childhood movie is Free Willy. This movie is about a foster child named Jesse and his friendship with a captured whale named Willy. Jesse, a street-kid, cleans up his act and helps train Willy to perform. But when Willy's owners view that he is worth more dead then alive, Jesse and his friends have to save Willy. The only way to do this is to put him in the wild where he belongs. This movie is an adventure filled with suspense, laughter, and love. This is my all-time favorite movie and I recommend for everyone to watch it.

All is Not Well in Darkness Falls

Darkness Falls is one of my all time favorite scary movies. This is the movie that scared me most as a child, even more than Stephen King's IT. Darkness Falls is centered around the town of Darkness Falls that is cursed. The town is cursed by an old lady that was killed 150 years prior. The old lady was known as the tooth fairy because children would give her their teeth in exchange for gold coins. When two kids went missing the town wrongfully hung the old lady who then put a curse on the town. When a child loses their last tooth she visits them and whoever looks upon her face she kills. This movie gave me plenty of nightmares when I was a kid and still to this day creeps me out. If you want a good quality scary movie to watch, this is right for you. If you decide to watch this movie, which I recommend, don't blame me if you can't sleep at night.  Enjoy!

Will Smith is a Legend

The most recent movie that I have watched is I Am Legend, starring Will Smith. If you like anything that deals with post-apocalyptic worlds, this movie is for you. This movie takes place in post-apocalyptic New York, after an potential cure for cancer turned in to a viral outbreak. This virus turned those infected into mutant beings who later killed those who were not infected. The movie follows Dr. Neville, played by Will Smith, one of the few remaining survivors. Dr. Neville is trying to find the cure to this virus while trying to stay alive. This movie is full of action and suspense. I highly recommend this movie, it is absolutely one of my favorites. Enjoy!

Do you know whats better than one ninja?...3 Ninjas

Hey everybody,

For my first review I'm reviewing one of my favorite childhood movies, 3 Ninjas. This movie is about three young brothers who have been trained in the art of ninja by their grandfather. The brothers are kidnapped by the criminal that their father, whose a FBI Agent, is after. But it seems that this criminal bit of more then he could chew when these three kids take down his army of ninjas. This movie is an empowerment for children. Also every scene is a kid kicking an adults butt. This movie is fun, exciting, and a thrilling adventure. If you want a blast from the past, I suggest watching this movie. It's full of action, adventure, and that famous 90's high jinks. Plus, who doesn't love ninjas.
