The NeverEnding Story
A great movie from my childhood that I remember watching all the time is "The NeverEnding Story". I know I said this movie is from my childhood but it was actually released in 1984, eleven years before I was born. Regardless I grew up watching this movie. This movie revolves around a young boy named Sebastian. We find Sebastian a year after his mother's death. He is having trouble adjusting to his mother's absence and dealing with bullies at school. To escape the problems of the real world Sebastian looks to books. When he picks up the book "The NeverEnding Story" his life will never be the same. This movie takes you on a thrilling adventure to a fantasy world battling a evil force that threatens its very existence. Along the journey we find the importance of believing in yourself, dreaming, and imagination. I love this movie and I believe you will too. Enjoy!
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Honestly "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is in my top 5 favorite movies I've ever seen. This movie follows a boy named Charlie, played by Logan Lerman. Charlie is dealing with the stress of beginning high school and a rough past. A group of seniors, played by Emma Watson, Erza Miller, and many more, take Charlie under their wings and guide him through life. The movie deals with friendship, self-discovery, pain, dealing with you past and hoping for the future, love and happiness. This movie is very moving and can be very emotional for some. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is based off the book of the same title, written by Stephen Chbosky. I know this is a movie blog but along with recommending everyone to see this movie, I also recommend everyone to read the book as well. Both the movie and the book are life changing. Enjoy
